Yeah its again that time of the year when all the old chaps come for their reunion at skps… so Mariamala here we come.. on the 26th December to remember and recollect the ‘good’ old days..

The Alumni Association annual General Body Meeting will be held from 10:30 - 11:30 AM, 26 December 2009, in the Main Auditorium. Please be there on time. The annual membership renewal fee for this year is Rs. 50. As the term of the office berarers was extended from 1 year to 2 years, there will be no elections this time. However new batch representatives will be elcted. The hon. Gen Secretary will present the report and accounts.

September 25, 2009:

The 1st Thomson George and Manoj Oliver Memorial All Kerala CBSE/ICSE InterSchool Quiz Competion proved to be a grand success. About 30 teams participated in this event, from 16 different Schools all over the state. . St. Antony’s Public School Anakkal bagged the 1st and 2nd positions in the competion. Earlier all the teams took part in an hour long preliminary round and then top 5 teams were qualified for the grand Final. Mr. Mithun V Zacharia, a well known quizee, conducted both the rounds.

The winners were felicitated later and the prizes were distributed by Dr. Devikka Andarjanam, Principal DB College, Thalayalaparambu.

Alumni Members under the leadership of Mr. Naveen K.V (the Hon. Gen. Sec) worked their level best to make the event a grand sucess.Mr. Dileep Mathew, Mr. Jino Joy, Mr. Gillin Thomas George, Ms. Chitra R, Dr. Anoop, Mr. Sony etc. were present at skps to help out.

A Special word of thanks to our beloved Principal Mr. Francis K.A, Rev. Fr. Tomy, Rev. Fr. Shaji, all teaching and non- teaching staff and Students of SKPS for helping the association organise this event.

I’ve heard people who have studied and passed out from St.kuriakose Public School(SKPS) calling themselves as skpsians and at the same time some others identify themselves as kuriakites.

Tell me Guys, which one do you prefer more ???? to be known as a skpsian or as a kuriakite ???

I just feel both are quite cool. And On the blogs, I have used both these terms.

But then I thought, Chal…. lets find out how you guys out there think about the ‘nomenclature’ ????
